Bio
Even though she was creative as a child, Laura Evans' first passion was athletics. She was playing sports by age five, and continued to do so throughout high school-winning numerous awards and titles, and earning college scholarships. Her first encounter with acting was in at age 8 in a stage production of Velveteen Rabbit, in which she had one line. However, that sparked something in her that would chase her mind even as she pursued sports. On occasion she would participate in skit or a play when she could, and it continued to fuel a desire to express her more creative side.

At age 19, Laura was introduced to the realm of movie-making in a San Antonio short film called “Abnormal Psyche”, in which she was a lead. The different style of acting for the camera proved to be more interesting than anything she had done on stage. The mechanics of what makes a movie happen intrigued her as well. A new love was born.

She continued to go after everything she could -short films, student productions, extra work, costume design, makeup, casting, set construction, script supervisor- anything to be on set and gain a learning experience. She feels that her mind is open to trying anything involving movies. However, her true love has proven to be acting. Her role in The Water’s Edge is her first lead in a feature, and she feels very proud to have been part of a group of solid actors and crew.

Laura attributes much of her experiences and abilities to being a “military brat”, as this lifestyle exposed her to many cultures and opportunities worldwide. Her athletic background also has aided in various roles. Her hope is to continue to pursue acting with everything she has, continually improve, and to never stop loving what she does, no matter where it may take her.
